trevware is Trevor Tarakjian, an independent developer in Canada. This page covers trevware's own tools, including Excerpta Stats, the private dashboard that connects to Threads. The apps have their own policies: Excerpta and Oriko Plus.
What Excerpta Stats is
A dashboard only trevware uses, to see how its own Threads accounts are doing and to publish the posts it approves. It isn't offered to anyone else, and nobody else can sign in to it.
What it reads from Threads
For the trevware account that's connected: its username and Threads ID, its followers count, the numbers Threads gives for its posts and profile (views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, shares, link clicks and profile views), and its own posts.
It also reads two kinds of public posts by other people: the replies under trevware's own posts, and the results of keyword searches of Threads. For each, it keeps the username, the text, the link and when it was posted.
What it does with it
It shows it on the dashboard, helps decide what to post next, and publishes the posts and replies trevware approves. Replies are read so they can be answered. Search results show what kinds of book posts people enjoy.
None of it is sold, shared, or used for ads, and nobody is profiled. To help plan posts, Anthropic's Claude reads the dashboard's numbers and posts' text.
Where it's kept
On Cloudflare, behind a login only trevware has. That includes the Threads login token, which renews itself while the connection is in use. It's kept while the dashboard is in use, and if the connection ends, trevware deletes it.
Deleting your data
If you replied to a trevware post or turned up in a search and want it removed, email hello@trevware.com with your Threads username. It's deleted within 30 days, and you'll get a reply when it's done.
If you're the account holder, removing Excerpta Stats under Threads Settings, Account, Website permissions ends its access, and trevware deletes the token and everything read with it.
